Candy’s story took place in the West, where, as I understand it, there are a lot of cows. Sort of like Vermont, only flatter.
She was out walking and walking and these western pastures are huge and remote and she thinks she’d like to do a little nude sunbathing. So she takes off her clothes, lays them out on the grass, and stretches herself out to enjoy the day and get an all over tan. Falls asleep and when she wakes up: eyes. She’s surrounded by a herd of cows. In a circle, curious, staring. Well, she flaps around and manages to make a getaway, thinking, this remote spot was not as remote as she had believed.
Well, she got back to the ranch where she was staying, she was sitting on the porch, when a pick-up truck full of men, in front and back, drives by, and they’re hooting and hollering and tooting and waving. She says to the ranch owner, "Those guys seem very friendly. Who are they?"
The ranch owner says: “Oh, those are the fellas who work up on the mountain at the fire tower.”
