Yankee humor takes
many forms. Sometimes it’s signage.
At first it was a dip, then a pothole. The pothole started out the size of a bushel basket, progressed to washtub capacity, and grew larger and larger through the spring. When the big rains came, it filled with water.
That’s when the neighbor put up his sign: “No fishing.”
