Congratulations to my friend Dudley Laufman of Canterbury for being named a National Heritage Fellow by the National Endowment for the Arts. He’s an amazing fiddler and barn dance caller. Congrats, also, to his wife Jacqueline, for her fiddling along with Dudley all these years. Dudley’s been calling dances since 1948, keeping the tradition alive! Check him out at www.laufman.org.
Dudley’s a good storyteller and poet, too. He lives his passion for the old music and dances.
