Ginny Peterson recalled the Hurricane of ‘54 or ‘55 -- might have been Carol or Diane.

The hosses were wandering in the woods. And the heifers were all muxed up.

Perley and Austin were making supper when a muxed up and curious heifer come right through the door into the kitchen and tipped the stove over.

How Austin laughed! Maybe he shouldn’t have though, because Perley didn’t see the humor in the tipped over stove and ruined dinner.

Becky has lived all her life (so far) in New Hampshire. However, she is probably best known for her live storytelling events, many sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
