Ever since we received copies of "Studio Cats," Mary Anne Lloyd's 2016 poster calendar, the office is buzzing about her sweet illustrations. However, we couldn't help but wonder, "What do the real cats look like?"
The cats featured in "Studio Cats" are in fact the real cats who work alongside Portland-based illustrator Mary Anne Lloyd in her studio. Mary Anne was kind enough to provide us with some photos she's taken of Mei and Jack, giving us a glimpse of her muses in action.
The star of January is Mei, who loves lounging and watching Mary Anne work. Little did she know that she's actually posing as the subject!
Jack, Mr. February, apparently loves boxes.
Mei makes it look like life is really hard as a studio cat, doesn't she?
We love that Mary Anne proves that having cats around you at work is a good thing; we would say the same about our own office cat, Penny!
If you can't have pets at your own workplace, grab a copy of "Studio Cats" and enjoy Mary Anne Lloyd's charismatic cats instead!
