Our own John Ford, Sr, author of Suddenly, The Cider Didn't Taste So Good and This Cider Still Tastes Funny!, is also a talented pen and ink artist. Last week, John sent us a handsome print called "His Majesty." The print was recently selected by The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife as their 2013 Recognition Print. The print will be given as a thank you to outstanding volunteers who have donated their time and services to the agency.
John is the first retired game warden to have his work selected by The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. Past recipients have included established wildlife artists Olga Wing, Georgette Kanach, David Footer, and Ralph Brisette.
In 2001, John's print "Frye Mountain Turkey," was also selected by the state. John says he is humbled and honored by the dual recognition. Congratulations to John!
