The inaugural Islandport Press Online Literary Auction to Fight Hunger is just 24 hours away! During the five-day event we will auction nearly 50 great items with 100 percent of the money raised going to fight hunger in Maine through the Maine Credit Union's Campaign for Ending Hunger. The auction starts at 9 a.m. Bidding for each item will be open for 24 hours. Here is the opening day line-up with minimum bid amount and bidding start times: "That Old Cape Magic" signed by Richard Russo, $15 (9 a.m.); "A Life in Balance" signed by Meg Wolff, $15 (10 a.m.); "My Cat, Coon Cat" signed by Jeannie Brett and Sandy Fuller, $15 (10:30 a.m.); "The Art of Dahlov Ipcar" signed by Carl Little, $25 (11 a.m.); The Great Outdoors set, featuring "Tales from Misery Ridge" signed by Paul J. Fournier and "Where Cool Waters Flow" signed by Randy Spencer, $25 (11:30 a.m.); and Life on the Farm Children's Book Set, featuring "Hardscrabble Harvest" and "One Horse Farm," both signed by Dahlov Ipcar, $25 (12:30 p.m.).
