We're happy to announce we've recently hired Melissa Kim of Portland to help design, update and expand our Islandport Press website and our associated sites, develop new site content, and more effectively use the Internet for communications.
Melissa consulted on recent updates to the site – we hope you've noticed them! – and will now play an expanded role in site development. Among other changes in 2009, we plan to increase the amount of video and audio available, and increase our use of blogs and electronic newsletters for communicating with customers and retailers.
Melissa is a web producer and freelance writer, whose articles have been published in numerous regional newspapers and magazines. She has worked as an online content producer for MaineToday.com, served as editor of several print magazines, and has written six children’s books. She has also produced and narrated educational audio tapes, created digital audio and video for the web, and produced interactive multimedia exhibits for children’s museums.
